Most likely just replace it. You could pull the fuse and then use a small screwdriver to try and pull the tabs inside the receiver in toward the center a little. It could be that repeated insertion and extraction of the lighter or accessory plug has bent them outward enough that they're not making sufficient contact to power what you plug in. If that doesn't work, replace it and then put the fuse back in.

SOURCE: radio and cigarette lighter outlet not working on 2003 matrix

There are 2 fuses that powers the radio, cigar lighter, etc.
They are: the 10 amp "GAUGE" and the 15 amp "CIG".
Look under the dash, on the driver side. The "CIG" fuse is the one that you need to replace.
It is in the middle of the fusebox, bottom row. again, a 15 amp fuse.
Please advise if you need additional information.

Hope this helps, and Thanks for choosing FixYa.

SOURCE: 2006 Toyota Matrix 2nd fuse panel location?

The second fuse panel that you seek is under the dashboard, on the driver side (for a US car). This box is called the "JB1" (junction block #1), and contains several relays in addition to the 15 amp "CIG" fuse that you need to replace.
Hope this helps, and thanks for choosing FixYa!

Where can I find the fuse for a cigarette lighter on the Toyota corolla 2005

This one's the fusebox in the interior of the car; usually below the steering wheel in a panel with a thumbscrew that you just give a quarter-turn, then catch it as it opens; inside are some fuses, which tend to be obvious when they are blown. There's a little legend that tends to be well-lit too, indicating which fuses were for the ligher/'auxillary 12v power' socket. Don't let a failed lighter bust on you; a flaming car is much more expensive than tossing/replacing the bad part or plugging something else in.

Failed emission obd not working on 1996 buick roadmaster

Common problem. You most likely have a blown fuse on your cigarette lighter circuit. These get shorted out all the time due to faulty phone chargers, GPS units, coins in ash tray getting stuck in the socket, etc...

This same circuit is what powers pin 16 of your data link connector(an OBD scanner will not work without it).

The Fuse you need to check is the CIG/DLC fuse, which is Fuse #28 (20 Amp) in your instrument panel fuse block. The instrument panel fuse block is located on the driver's side of the instrument panel.

Be sure to check your cigarette lighter for some of the things mentioned above, and take corrective action, or you will only blow another fuse.

My lighter doesnt work, i have two and one doesnt work

There are actually FIVE cigarette lighter/ Auxilliary Power Outlets shown in the wiring diagrams for your vehicle.
The Instrument Panel [1] Accessory Power Outlet (Cigarette Lighter) is protected by the "LTR" Fuse (# 53 - 20 Amp) in the Power Distribution Center (PDC) in the engine compartment.

The Instrument Panel [2] Accessory Power Outlet is protected by the "AUX PWR" Fuse (20 Amp) In the Instrument Panel Fuse Block on the left side of the dash.

The Center Seat Accessory Power Outlet and the (two) Center Console Power Outlets are protected by the "AUX PWR 2" Fuse (20 Amp) In the Instrument Panel Fuse Block on the left side of the dash. NOTE: If your vehicle is not equipped with the Center Seat Accessory Power Outlet, or the Custom Floor Console (optional), this fuse position will most likely be empty.

The accessories 12 V plug does not work but the cigarette lighter plug location does. I've checked all the fuses and can't find the blown fuse. Where is it? I've checked under the hood and the side of...

I don't have a solution for this problem(yet) but have the exact same issue with a 2005 Silverado. All fuses are good and the cigarette lighter outlet works fine. I am looking to get my hands on a copy of the wiring diagram for this truck. I suspect that there is an inline fuse somewhere in the system that has blown but haven't been able to locate. If anyone has a copy of the service(or Haynes) manual for this truck, I would appreciate a copy of the wiring diagram that shows the accessory outlet.

Fuse for the cigarette lighter in Infinity FX35

is the only thing not working the cigarette lighter? the fuse that operates it is usually the accessories fuse, it normally operates the interior light as well, which fuse box have you checked, there is most likely one under the bonnet & there also may be one under the dash as well, it might well be that the cigarette lighter element is the problem, try another lighter....hope this helps....cheers
