Had belt replaced on my 2005 KIA Sedona V6. Now when I start the engine and first put the transmission in drive or reverse I get a rumbling noise until I increase RPM up to about 1000. After driving a short distance the noise is not there any longer even at the lower RPM (about 700 or 800 -idling in gear). Also my tests show that warming up the engine (belt) for about five minutes removes the noise. One more test: When I am in gear and the noise is there, I can make the noise go away by merely increasing the the RPM to about 1000 with my foot on the brake. What's the problem?

SOURCE: at about 1500 rpm vibrates but stops as it passes 1500rpm

Obviously a couple possibilities here. Just trying to help. Most commonly motor mount getting worn out will do this. I found statements made about some kia's needing a new crankshaft pulley and bolt for similar condition but not necesarily your engine. Youd have to call kia on that one. Hope I helped. Thanks

Kia sedona 2005 when driving feels like transmission is skipping, hesitating. What is doing on? Just had new transmission put in 7 months ago.

When does it skip and hesitate? While your driving or taking off or turning a corner?

It sounds like an automatic.

2005 kia Sedona

It's normal for belts to loosen up a little after installation. I'd check the belt and re-tighten until there's no slack. A slipping belt would certainly cause the issue you have. Hope this answers your question. Best of luck!
