The battery went dead in my 97 subaru legacy gt and was dead for a while. i relaced the battery and now the parking lights blink and when i start the car it wont idle it shuts off. does something need reset or any suggestions??

Under the dash to the left of where your left leg would sit is a box. 4" x 4". It is your security box. There is either a red button on it or a wire with a button. push the button for about 15 seconds and it will reset the security system. Good luck and have a great day.

Under your steering column theres a box that says subaru on it next to it there should be a rope looking cable with a button on it .turn the key to on. and hold it in for 15 seconds.

Hi i have a 96 ts-r my alternator is not charging the battery alternator is good cant seem to figure out the problem. tested power to fusible link and the other fuses in fuse box in engine all were ok. please help
