Control engine corrolla 1998

Hi, i own a 1998 corolla 1 zz-fe engine manual trans. My control engine unit is broke, but i can´t find a new one. the part number of my engine control unit is 89661-02351, i found a control unit which part number is 89661-02350 and is a prizm 1998-2000 part, are those engine control unit the same? can i put this prizm unit control in my corrolla? please help me

Prizms and Corollas are the same car, basically. If it will plug in and run the engine OK, I say go for it.

'95 Corolla Engine Question

An engine from another Corolla up to 1997 will fit. There are 2 engines though. 4A-fe (1.6L) or a 7A-fe (1.8L) They look similar but run different Engine managment computers. The 4A-fe uses a 3spd auto trans and the 7A-fe uses a 4spd auto trans. Also some of the wiring may be different.

1998 Toyota Corrolla VE 4dr makes loud "TACK" sound, will not start...

Sounds like you got a bad stater or the engine is locked up try to turn the crankshaft if it turn then tap the starter with a hammer while someone else turns the key to the start position if it then starts you have a bad starter.
