Check your on and off button at the steering wheel.
use a multi-meter set in the ohm postion and see if there is conectivity as you push each button. you will have to take the button off the steering wheel but it will take
just a few minites. while your at it you can check the right side also.
the set-resume-coast.

2007 Taurus cruise not working. I've have checked the fuses, replaced the switches on the steering wheel, replaced the servo, and replaced the deactivation switch on the brake pedal. Any other suggest

While you\'re still blindly changing parts, just go to pull a part and pull a body control module, a cruise control module, and an engine computer. Send me all the stuff you change out that doesn\'t fix anything, I can test them and sell them.By then, you should have enough money for a mechanic in used part sales.

2007 Taurus cruise not working

This is just a guess and they can keep my point if I'm wrong :) but I would start looking around the cruise unit itself under the hood for loose plugs or, in some cases loose vacuum hoses. Some cruise units use engine vacuum for unit actuation, some use it as an indicator of engine speed though now it's mostly sensors and servo actuators operated by computer. I can't speak directly about your unit but sometimes, in all brands of vehicles, when you change something that is computer controlled, you have to reprogram the computer so it can accurately sense and operate the part or machine. Good luck. Jeff M.

What causes my cruise controll to not work intermittenly

cruise control starts working above 50kmh, so if your under that it wont work. the cruise servo may be at fault, or I have seen battery acid leak down on the vacuum lines causing cruise not to work correctly. cruise control works off of a vacuum so without it, it wont work. if the cruise light doesn't turn on when pressing the set/cruise button intermitantly it may be the switch itself that is starting to fail

I have a 2005 Ford Taurus and my cruise control has not been working for about a week now. The cruise control light is "ON" but it is not engaging? Also, the day after my cruise control stopped...

open the hood and check to see that the throttle cables are not out of place, if everything looks ok then unhook the cruise control cable from the throttle body (black plastic end) by pulling up on the cable end. this will disable your cruise control from making your car accelerate at unwanted times. sounds like there may be a problem with the cruise control servo.

1999 Ford Taurus, There are a couple things not working which may influence both, first the RPM Gauge is not working and either is the Cruise Control. I just replaced the Vehicle Speed Sensor and that...

1. Have you looked at your owners manual for location of the cruise control fuses? 2. Same for the tachometer? 3. Do you live in a wet area with alot of rain? Next chance you have, get some electric cleanout spray from NAPA spray into all cruise control connections and tach connections. 4. Check the recalls from Ford there have been issues with 99 cruise econtrol systems.
