The problem could be caused be leaking High Tension cables from the ignition coils to the spark plugs.

  • To confirm where the spark is shorting, take the vehicle to a shady or darkened area, open the bonnet and look to see the actual place.
  • The problem could be at the joint between the coil and the spark plug high tension cable.
  • It could be along the length of the leads.
  • Alternatively it could be caused by a defective plug which is failing to fire correctly.
  • If resistance has built up in any of these area's, or the spark plug cable is carbonized or cracked along its length it will short, taking the shortest distance to return from where it came: ie, the battery.Electricity will always take the line of least resistance.
  • The best way of dealing with a problem with the leads or plugs is to replace them.
  • While you're under the bonnet, make sure that the cable connecting the engine to the body is not broken and that the connection is intact and not oxidized.

If the coil is arching still after replacing it new then replace the spark plug wires. faulty wires will cause the arching and so will a cracked distributor cap replace it along with the wires and your problem will be solved

2005 Hyundai accent sudden loss of acceleration/power and rumbling noise

If you invested all the money you've spent on parts, you could have paid for a qualified technician to troubleshoot and repair your problem, and have only paid for parts you needed. Now you want someone who may have no qualifications, and no opportunity to even see the vehicle, to troubleshoot your unresolved problem. LOL

Puff-puff sound comes after fuel pump repaired/cleaned !!!

It can happen some times their are few possibility for such problem to happen a few day ago we had see such problem in Hyundai Santro Xing this sort of problem can happen due to
1.Failure or less pressure flow from the Fuel Pump motor which is located in fuel tank.
2.It can happen due to inflated fluctuated current supply from Ig Coil in simple term Ignition Coil
3.It can happen due to faulty spark Plug where it time to need to change those faulty Spark Plug while Changing those spark plug do go for spark plug such a NGK or Denso this both company Spark Plug are or Good Quality they give your car the better performance, Mileage fuel economy efficiency .
make sure that if you are replacing Ignition Coil then better replace 3 things at a time Ignition Coil, Spark Plug, & Plug wire set.
& do remember to replace Spark Plug at every interval of 10000.Km.
in this case you better consult to an authorized Hyundai or KIA motors service workshop where your problem will be sort out hazard free.

Where is the negative side for my ignition coil?

In all the automotive vehicle the positive terminals are connected to the body/frame. the wiring which runs around for all the electrical part is always negative terminal.

Smilarly the ignition coil lead is one terminal & the body of the spark plug is other terminal.

That is the reason you see the spark jumps from the center to the lug in spark plug.
