I replaced front passenger side window regulator and motor. All windows worked from driver side door switch and then all stopped working. Driver side switch is a little beat up. Is there a way to jump the switch to a. get the driver's window back up and b.to eliminate any other problems?

These are high current motors and you risk fire with any wiring error. Toyota just had a recall on these switches. Recommend replacing same with same, they are fairly simple, but take pictures as you disassemble. Be sure to lube the new switch with silicone. While at it, run canning paraffin (Or a candle) up and down the glides of all windows to make travel easier. .

SOURCE: how to remove inside door panal to replace window motor?

Remove the window switch bezel. It has a snap clip in the front just pry the front up with a pick or small screw driver the pull it forward and disconnect. Remove the plastic covers from the ends of the pull strap and remove the 2 screws.Then locate the 2 screws at the bottom of the door panel and remove.Then pull out on bottom of door panel and work your way up to release the plastic push pins.

You will first need to remove the door panel on the inside. Then you will need to remove the window glass from the track it rests in. Then you need to undo all the screws that attach the regulator inside the door. At the top of the door where the glass slides up and down remove the inner and outer window track guides. Then very carefully maneuver the regulator up and out the top of the door. Reverse the procedure to replace. It sounds easy, but you need to almost be double jointed to do this. So, have great patience while doing this task. Good luck.

your blend door motor has gone bad under the dash . the blend door motor controls the blend door in the heater box to allow hot or cold air to flow or a mixture of both to reach desired tempreture. this is a hard job cause the dash must be moved back to get to motor.

Principles of Operation
The driver power window regulator motor is controlled directly by the master window/door lock/unlock switch (and its integrated "auto down" module). The odds of both switches going bad at the same time is high, remove the door panel and tap on the window motor with a hammer, while trying the switches. I may have jammed up. Ground a test light and check the motor connection, while trying the switch, power will show on either side depending on if it turning up or down

Thank yo for the schematic Ernesto. It says Nissan 1996, so is the 2008 still using the same schematic?

It can be issue with motor itself.If its not going up,then how its working down.But still it feels like weak window motor or is issue with power window switch.Get the voltage tested at switch and motor.Also try another working window motor at not working window side.

Ford Ka electric windows passenger works drivers doesn't. I replaced the switch and still nothing. If I diconnect the drivers switch the passenger window stop s working so there's some connect

The relay operates all the windows. The drivers door switch is the master and has to be connected for the rest to work. It sounds like you have a bad motor or a bad connection on the motor in the drivers door.

more than likely one of the switches are bad (down side of switch works but up side of switch dont) being as the switches are wired together if one goes bad other one won't work either take the switch out one of back doors should be same as front passenger door put rear switch in front passenger door if works then u know front door switch is bad if it doesn't then drivers door switch is bad
u replaced window regulator Did that come with motor too??? if not check to see if motor is good
there is two wires going to motor cut isolation back on wires and using some jumper wires attach one wire to positive terminal of a 12 volt battery attach other wire to negative terminal of battery window should move up or down reverse connections and window should move other way

Probably motor and regulator, if you tried both switches on driver and passenger side suspect both window motor and regulator on passenger side sometimes while pressing the switch on the passenger side bang on the door panel inside and sometimes it may move if it does then suspect only the window motor.

Rear side windows

This may be just a case of inadvertently hitting the window lock out n th driver door window switch by mistake. Check that first. Here's some background on window operation
