Get a fuel pressure gauge and connect it to the rail for the fuel injectors to read pressure.

If the pressure is too low, it might be a bad fuel pressure regulator or pump:

Fuel Pressure Regulator Removal & Installation 2.2L Engine To Remove:

  1. Relieve the pressure in the fuel system.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the fuel pressure regulator.
  4. Remove the pressure regulator mounting screw.
  5. Remove the fuel pressure regulator assembly with O-ring. Inspect filter screen for contamination. If contaminated, remove and discard.
Fuel pressure regulator removal/installation (2.2L SFI engine) if i put a little gas in the carberator and fight - gm-05-22-619.gif

To Install:
  1. Apply clean engine oil to the new pressure regulator O-ring and install the O-ring on the regulator.
  2. Install the regulator on the fuel rail. Apply thread-locker to the mounting screw.
    • Tighten the screw to 106 lb in (12Nm).
  3. Connect the negative battery cable.
  4. Use the following procedure to pressurize the fuel system and check for leaks;
  5. Turn the ignition ON for 2 seconds.
  6. Turn the ignition OFF for 10 seconds.
  7. Turn the ignition switch back ON to run the fuel pump again and pressurize the fuel system.
  8. Check the fuel rail assembly for fuel leaks.

I Let my chevy Blazer run out of gas,nw it wont start even though the relay and fuelpump is working.

Is it electric or mechanical pump? Electric is with fuel injection. If its fuel injection, you should hear the pump run when you turn ignition switch. If u don't hear it, try starting, if no, turn off then on. It will self prime. Carburetor is with mechanical pump. I usually put few drops of gas in the carb. Start it, if no, more in carb till it stays running.

Engine will crank but will not turn over

our experiensces of this when all is going well - was the car ran out of gas......or stop getting gas....ensure the gas matter & pour a little gas over the carberator & give it another try or so....when you are driving & it just goes dead slowly - fuel-connected circumstances are usually the 1st problem.....

got fuel, starter working, battery ok etc. - its a fuel matter more than likely.....

My chevy blazer is turning over but it won't start even when I put gas in the carberator.

You don't have a carberator on it, it's fuel injected. Id try spraying carb cleaner in the throttle while you have someone turn it over. If it fires up for a few seconds then dies then you might have a fuel pump problem or fuel filter clogged. If it still doesnt fire up then check if you have spark, if no spark see if your crank sensor is good and if your coil is getting power. If your coil is not getting power you might have a crank sensor problem. Try this and let me know if it helps.

2003 Chevy Blazer dies after starting. About 3 weeks ago my blazer started dying when I started it or I stopped at a traffic light. I took it to the shop and got a tune up. Now its doing it again. This...

It's starving for fuel. The main component there is the MAS -- mass airflow sensor, very common to go bad. Tap on it and sometimes that will make it rev lower or stall. It's inline with the black tubing that goes to the air filter. They run around $200 but are very very easy to put in yourself with a little care.

2001 Chevrolet Blazer LS 2-dr, 4 wheel drive, 2 cranks to start

Try replacing the fuel filter first, but it sounds like your loosing your fuel pressure prim when the fuel pump is not working. The fuel pressure should be 62-65 PSI with the engine not running the the ignition key turned on and should drop about 5 psi when the engine is running. If you turn the engine off and check the fuel pressure, it stat steady for morn then 15min. If it drops fast, then you have a leak at your fuel pressure regulator (common) or your return fuel check valve which is located at your fuel sending unit.
Start with the simple and replace the fuel filter, it could just be to dirty to pressurize the fuel system fast enough giving you the hard start.
Thank you for using Fixya and good luck

Couple of days ago car started choking like I was running out of gas my gas guage could be broken but can someone tell me where the carburator ? is so that I can put gas in it.

Your 95 Blazer does not have a carburetor (correct spelling too) It is fuel injected so injectors are used for each cylinder instead of a carburetor. If you run out of fuel and your vehicle is facing uphill when that happens you should have some fuel in the tank left. When leveling at a level position the vehicle will start again. You see the fuel pump is in the fuel tank and fuel is needed at all times to prime when starting. If on a grade the fuel goes to one end if only a gallon or two is left and the pump will **** air only causing a stalling problem I added all this in just so you remember this incase it ever happens to you
