Depends on miles per gallon of vehicle. Average mpg of say 15 mpg would take 15 gallons to travel 225 miles.(15x15=225). At $2.29 per gallon @15 gallons=$34.35. So figure out mpg of your vehicle and do the math.

not doing the 60k service.
air filter? packed
heavy right foot.
jack rabbit start

you did not state the MPG, so can not guess.
I need the freeway, cruise MPG, in town, is too variable.
need the best MPG, worst has no limits,
my MPG parked and idling, is 0 MPG. dig>?

When the battery went dead you engine control module lost all learned programming, drive it for a few weeks as normal to restore this and the mileage will be back to normal.

the mpg will go up and down depending on how car is driven.

to help you we need to know which mpg you are referring to.

three i can remember of the top of my head are 

average mpg this has a zero with a slash through it .this changes according to your average mpg you are achieving.

instant mpg , this changes instantly if you pedal to the metal it will go very low 7.1 mpg etc ,and if you come off the accelerator it should show no numbers --- 

the last one is range of the fuel tank this will change gradually and in some cases when inclines and declines are encountered on the roads..

i had a 1998 and 2004 ferio auto great mpg compared to other models and it does around 15-17km per litre.

If it is 2wd you should get 14 / 18 mpg and if it 4wd you should get 12 / 16 mpg.

Change air filter, engine needs oxygen.
If using air conditioner, try with it turned off?
Oil change helps if has not been done.
Air in the tires help with mpg.
Tune-up( spark plugs,etc.
