Ok, today I replaced/removed several exterior lights: 1) I replaced the left headlight 2) I removed a burned out bulb from the high mount brakelight (local part store was out of stock, coming in tomorrow) 3) Removed left parking light (same situation as brakelight) Now my interior gauge lights (the one that light up my spedometer, fuel gauge, etc..) dont turn on when I turn my lights on, nor does the clock dim, it's as if the interior doesnt recognize that the headlights are on. Also when I use my left turn signal it doesnt blink (not even the rear one) but the right one works fine.

I can help you out with the left turn signal not blinking. Maybe it's a flasher or the light bulbs aren't getting current through the wiring.

I can't help you out with the interior gauge lights not turning on when you turn the headlamps on. It may have to do with the headlamp switch, though.

I've never seen the lights on the radio not dim when the headlamp switch is turned on. hm.

Good luck on this repair.

No passenger rear light and 1 blinker bulb will work if head lights are off. Help please. 2006 Mustang

Remove the rear passenger light assembly and inspect it. You may notice burned plastic in the connectors, which will explain the problem with bulbs not working.

The burned connectors are causing high resistance and when the headlights are on, there isn't enough current left to power the headlights and rear lights.

If the connectors are burned (usually the female connectors connected to the light assembly), you can lookup that part at Autozone or Rockauto. They may have "high temperature" sockets that you can swap out, so they can handle better current than the stock sockets, and you won't have to keep replacing the part.

How to change the head light bulbs on a 2010 sebring

Step 1 Set the parking brake and remove the keys from the ignition. Open the Sebring's hood using the primary and auxiliary release latches.
Step 2 Remove the two headlight mounting screws, and then pry the plastic fasteners away from the assembly using a flathead screwdriver or other flat-bladed tool.
Step 3 Pull the headlight assembly away from the car. Be careful not to scratch the headlight lens or the exterior paint.
Step 4 Turn the bulb one-quarter turn counterclockwise and remove it from the assembly.
Step 5 Pull the old bulb directly out of the socket and replace it with the new one. Dispose of the old bulb to prevent it from becoming a hazard.
Step 6 Screw the bulb back into the assembly and press the assembly back into position.
Test the headlamp to make sure it works before replacing the plastic fasteners and headlight mounting screws.

I have a 2006 civic SI. DRL indicator is on, driver side low and high beam ok. Passenger side low beam ok but DRL and hi beam not working. Any help is appreciated.

When either the high or low beam light is out in either side, DRL (daytime running lights) indicator will come on. When one bulb goes out, that's a clue the opposite bulb will burn out soon, so its best to replace both bulbs. If it was a fuse issue, both left and right side would be out. If driver side is OK but passenger side is not, then its a bulb issue. A 2006 Honda civic takes 9006 (HB4) low beam bulbs and 9005 (HB3) high beam bulbs. Cheapest is online from Walmart site-2-store. After procuring, wear latex, vinyl, or ANY gloves to keep your (corrosive) oil skin from coming in contact with headlight glass bulbs. Your skin oil will chemically react and cause shorter life span on glass bulbs. Instruction don't tell you this, so you handle with your hands, then need to replace bulbs 3 years later instead of 5 years (or more) in the future. With gloves on, pop the hood and look behind each headlight. Turn counter clockwise to unlock headlight bulb holders. Its a quarter to half turn to unlock bulb holder lock. Replace one bulb at a time so you don't confuse high beam from low beam. The wire has a tab you need to lift to pull out & disconnect wire connector. You might need a slim narrow-**** (NOT phillips) screwdriver to lift the tab; or use your house key. Snap the wire connector to the new bulb, then twist into headlight housing to secure bulb holders, then move on to the next bulb to repeat the procedure. Pict below, 9005 high beam is on the left, 9006 low beam is on the right. Handle by grasping the plastic base, not the glass bulbs. The raised potrusion on the bottom center is where the tab locks onto wire connector. Replace all 4 bulbs now, but in the future, its likely the low beam will wear out before the high beam. In the future, replace only the pair, not all 4. The factory installs inferior bulbs that go out sooner, hoping you'll take to dealership and they ******** you with higher parts-n-labor fees. As opposed to Walmart online site-2-store, it would cost you AT LEAST triple in parts & labor from dealership to replace all 4 headlight bulbs :-(

I startup engine, then, turned headlights. The headlights had been on about 2 seconds, then, both headlights were suddenly off. High beam lights are ok. Today, I went to AutoZone and changed new fuse (15a)...

Maybe the low beam of both headlights blew up. Headlight bulbs have 2 coils, 1 for high beam and 1 for low beam. Just like a regular light bulb, when the coil breaks the light doesn't work. But the high beams are still ok. If you've never changed em, 8 years come around its probably around time to replace them. If you can, see if you can remove the bulbs. It's pretty easy, for most cars its just locate where the lights are located under the hood, then turn the headlight bulb housing counter clockwise and should pull out. inspect it for any broken coils. if you need to replace both, get the part number or take it to a parts store and ask an employee for help. If you reinstall it yourself, be sure not to let your fingers touch the new bulb. if you do, clean it with rubbing alcohol before you put it back in the housing.
