2000 Volvo S80 heater fan wont work. First it wouldnt go off no matter if the dial was off or on (or the car was on or off - key in or out) . I had to pull out the fuse to save the battery from draining. Now it doesnt go on at all. There still seems to be heat though. Any ideas what it may be or even where to look for relays etc? Thanks

Where is the location of my heater motor in my 2000 Volvo S80T6? The fan only works when it wants to. Can anyone think of any solution/problem or anything I can try? It is still cold here in Michigan and we have frosty nights & mornings so it is a real burden. I probably will have no air for the summer???? [email protected] Please help w/ anything you can. Thank you!

SOURCE: Fuel Relay

It is in the passenger compartment relay box under the left side of the dash. Along one edge there are 6 rectangular relays grouped 2 together and 4 together. The fuel pump relay is second over from the gap between the 2 groups of relays. My diagram marks it as CMI 12.

SOURCE: how to reset service message on volvo s80?

2002-2007 All Volvo Models

  • The service reminder indicator lamp illuminates for 120 seconds when the ignition is first switched on
  • Insert key and turn Ignition Switch to position I
  • Press and hold in the reset button for the trip odometer
  • Turn the Ignition switch to position II (within 2 seconds)
  • Hold the reset button for the trip meter pressed in until the original trip counter value blinks and is redisplayed
(For all vehicles 2003- a general yellow lamp will light when the reset button must be released.)
  • Release the reset button for the trip odometer within 4 seconds. The instrument gives an audible signal when resetting has succeeded
  • If the trip meter is already reset the reset button should be held in for a minimum of 10 seconds and a maximum of 14 seconds.
  • If the reset button for the trip odometer is not released within 4 seconds, the service reminder indicator (SRI) is not reset.

I have a S80 Volvo 2000 model. I lost my spare key.

Pay the dealer the $300.00. I have been told it's worth it to have an extra set due to the computer communication of the keys with the ignition (not sure how it works exactly.) To re-key or get a new ignition costs like 1600-1800 dollars and takes approximately 10 days to even get the parts. I checked with a Volvo dealership in WA State. I am having problems with my ignition now and the keys won't come out or turn the last little click to be able to pull them out (but not all the time), also my car will turn on no problem (only have trouble getting keys out) my car just won'y go into gear, it seems it happens more frequently when it is below 55 degrees, even after the car temp guage has reached the half way mark. I have a 1999 Volvo S80 (I hate that car!)
