Timing chain runs in oil and when it wears it clatters ,often its the adjuster needs changing only ,while its running ok leave well alone and do not look for problems that are not their ,change the oil every 6000miles with a oil filter every third oil change use the cheapest oil you can buy from a supermarket i prefer a diesel/petrol type oil of say 10/40 or 20/50 ,this will keep the inside of the engine clean and then i think it will run for ever without any problems .well i was trying to scan my alldata book on how to reset the service light but it seems to have locked up and i thionk i will need to restart computer ,did you get the four wires the right way around when you chande the O2 sensor

i am not really good with all these car things. But, i went to 3 mechanics and they check the "service light on" with that special handheld machine and all of them said it is the o2 sensors. So, i guess thats the problem.
Just to reconfirm, my 2002 nissan sentra automatic 1.8 is on the timing chain, and not the timing belt, right? I havent go to mechanic to check it yet and also doesnt have the manual came with it when I bought the car.
And, you said about the oil change for every 6000 miles. What kind of oil? Is it a special oil for timing chain?
no special oil just the cheapest ,no need for paying fancy prices for oil you will not see a dealer putting in expensive stuff ,just a 45 gallon drum of the chapest i promise you .the O2 sensor has 4 wires or three and if a four then the wires must be connected correctly if a universal was fitted ,if dealer part then it comes with the wiring plug already on but if aftermarket then it will need connecting up with block connector so have a look and see whats their
