How to fix the abs light on my 2005 buick rendezvous

The ABS carries out a self-test when the ignition is switched on. If no faults are found the light will go out. If the light stays on it means a fault has been discovered, recorded and the ABS will be switched off.

To rectify this condition the fault will have to be identified by a code read, the fault repaired and the fault code erased.

Having the vehicle checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's would be a good first step . ABS light on codes are stored . Suggest you take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop that has the knowledge an testing equipment to diagnose the problem properly .
Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS)
The 4-wheel, 4-channel anti-lock brake system (ABS) consists of the following components:

Abs light stays on I have put new brake line on new calipers because they were sticking causing brakes to get hot, thats all fixed but light still stays on.

the ABS light is on because there has been a fault detected by the ABS module. It has nothing to do with the actual braking system.

The ABS module does a self check every time you start the vehicle. If it detects a problem during that self check the ABS light will stay illuminated and a code or codes for the fault will be stored in the ABS module. Scanning the module will allow you to pull the codes and proceed with diagnosing why the fault is occurring.

The most common source of ABS problems is bad wheel speed sensors or broken wires to the wheel speed sensors. Again pulling the codes from the ABS module will narrow down the possibilities.

Once you now what codes are present post them and we will be happy to assist you further.

Abs lite on, replaced pump and solenoids, and abs module light still on 1988 323

The usual reason for abs lights to stay on is the failure on one or mor of the ABS sensors fitted to each wheel. Changing these can be expensive as they are easy to destroy when taking them out. Get it proffesionaly checked to find out which is/are at fault.

Discovery II Right Rear keeps going down

No, the Shuttle Valve would give you the "3 Amigos" on the dash, ABS, HDC and TC will all illuminate. Your problem is probably an air leak in one of the bags (£100 or so), which you should replace as your compressor will be working harder than it should be, and will eventually also fail!
Could also be the height sensor (£35) but that is less likely.

I have a 1989 s-10.The parking brake light blinks six times, pauses then flashes again.I was wondering what trouble code that would be???Thanks.

RWAL Fault codes
Codes for Dodge RWAL, Ford RABS and GM RWAL applications are similar but have a few differences:
  1. Should not occur (replace the controller if it does)
  2. Open isolation valve circuit or defective ABS module
  3. Open dump valve circuit or defective ABS module
  4. Grounded or closed RABS or RWAL valve switch
  5. Excessive actuations of dump valve during ABS braking
  6. Erratic speed sensor signal
  7. Shorted isolation valve or defective ABS module
  8. Shorter dump valve or defective ABS module
  9. High resistance or open speed sensor circuit (resistance should be 1000 to 2500 ohms)
  10. Low speed sensor resistance (Dodge & Ford only)
  11. Open speed sensor circuit (GM only)
  12. Stop lamp switch circuit (Dodge & Ford)
  13. ABS module speed processor (Dodge & Ford only)
  14. ABS module program (Dodge & Ford only)
  15. ABS module RAM memory failure (Dodge & Ford)
To manually clear a stored fault code on GM and some Dodge trucks with RWAL, remove the ABS fuse or disconnect the battery for 5 seconds. Ford RABS codes will automatically clear when the ignition is turned to the off position.
