My 1998 ford escort brake peddle started pulsing and then a noise. Checked fluid, not down any fluid, and no leeks, just feels like I can not stop well., No ABS lite til yesterday, then it came on after...

Normally a "pulsing" brake pedal means that that you have a warped brake rotor or the brake caliper is lose. I would start by taking the front wheel off and inspecting the brake pads and the rotor. If the brake pads are worn down bad replace them. Pay special attention to the brake rotors also as if the are grooved very bad, they should also be replaced.

Brakes are pulsing

new rotors, machine rotors or just a pad slap?
pulsing indicates warpage, is if felt in the steering wheel or the brake pedal? did you do front and rears?
is it drum or all wheel disc brakes?

Whenever I brake there is a knocking noise that gets progressively slower as the car comes to a stop. This does not happen in reverse.

Sounds like you have warped disc rotor or a worn out or a loose brake pad. Worst case you may have bad CV joint.

My 2002 Kia Sedona started making a whistling sound when driving or turning, if I keep the wheel just right it doesn't then it got louder and louder and now there's a grinding sound and feel, which is made...

I have a similar problem with my kia sedona 2003. The kia dealer told me to have the disc pads replaced. I brought it to a brake pads bonding shop cause its cheaper to replace there. But the thinnest pad are still half thick. The real problem was on the back plate, it's touching on the brake disc making the sound and scratching it. Just push the back plate away from the disc to solve the problem. If I have known this I could have used those disc pads for a few more months.

Episodic pulsing brakes

you have to get the rotors machined, they are warped, nothing else causes brake pulse, why do they only do it sometimes? the reason is simple when they get hot the warped area will straighten out, it all depends on the temp of the rotors, you need not use factory parts, but always use name brand like Wagner and Raybestos, they invented modern brakes, they are the best, don't use Durastop or other off brands, they can cuase issues of warping the rotor's.
