I have just bought an rpm tachometer and do not know correct wiring yet am looking for ignition coil or a proper place to put the wire where it will read the tach
IT'S A BLUE WIRE ON THE BACK OF THE CONNECTOR THAT WOULD NORMALLY GO TO THE FACTORY TACHOMETER IN THE DASH. YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE DASH GAUGE CLUSTER TO GET AT THE CONNECTOR. THE CONNECTOR WILL NOT BE PLUGGED INTO ANYTHING IF YOU DON'T HAVE A FACTORY TACHOMETER (DX, CX, HX ETC...YOU WILL HAVE TO SPLICE INTO OR CUT THE BLUE WIRE FROM THE PLUG. IT GOES TO TACH SIGNAL WIRE ON YOUR NEW TACH.
how do you know what blue wire it is i have 3 one on each wirin manifold i have a 98 hx that used to have a factory tach but the previous owner changed it the manifolds plug into the speedometer in different locations on the housing one at the top one at the top left corner and one yellow plug with only 3 wires your help is appreciated
