SOURCE: 2004 dodge neon speedometer stopped working

Try giving it a good rap on dash above speedo, see what happens, and get back to me, it may have same problem as my old 95' neon did.

SOURCE: ignition lock -98 dodge neon

Sounds like the ignition cylinder is jambed, if you remove the covers and put the key in, you might be able to turn it with pliers, just turn it to the accessories position, then there is a small metal clip that pushes in, push it in and pull the lock cylinder out of place, get a new one from the dealer and reverse to install. If it's above you, your dealer can help, usually about an hours labour or so.
Hope that helps, Good luck

SOURCE: need wiring diagram for 2000 dodge neon

i would recommend buying a Haynes manual, as they have very good diagrams and schematics. If you do not want to buy one, though, you can create an online garage on Autozone.com by registering (which is free) and add your car to the garage to get access to a free manual online. These manuals are kind of hit-or-miss, though, and i have had mixed results with them. But for free, it is worth looking into first.

i hope this helps,
matthew

My 2005 dodge neon's battery won't hold a charge, lights flicker and dim and on the dashboard the word fuse flashes, what is going on?

Could be a bad battery but I suspect your battery cable is either loose or corroded or dirty. Before you pull the battery disconnect your battery cables and clean them both ends and when you put them back on make sure you have good connections and tighten good.If that does not work pull your battery and get it tested at a battery out let . they should do that for free.

1998 dodge neon stalls after awhile wait a little bit then it will start and go for awhile then stalls again.

Not trying to highjack your post. I just bought a 98 neon sport, manual sohc 2.0. Im having the exact same issue i think, car will run for a while then tac drops to zero and it dies, 5-40 minutes later i can restart but i usuall only make it a few blocks and it dies again, wait again and it will restart. Did you solve this problem with your neon and if not can anyone give me more places continue to diagnose. It has new cam and crank sensors, fresh plugs, wires and coil, new battery. I got the car cheap, thinking of fuel savings but i dont want it to became a parts money pit.

Electical Problem!!

Sounds like you're on your way to nailing it down... You may want to try jumping the ground to the body as well. If its a bad ground, it doesn't have to be on the engine. If that doesn't do it I'd try the pos side of the battery now. Check the cable and battery to. Be sure the contact is good, clean and tight. Check for any signs of corrosion on ALL ends of the cable as well as where they terminate.
You may end up in the fuse pnl under the hood checking for good power there as well as good contacts for your fuses and of course checking the fuses as well.
It sounds like the breakdown isn't with broken components, just a lack of power from bad cables or contacts. Please let me know if this cured your issue or what you've found and we'll figure out the next step. Thanks and good luck!

Sounds like solenoid on starter has packed it in Try crossing solenoid terminal (small wire on solenoid) to power feed on starter (End of battery cable) If nothing happens Remove starter & renew solenoid

2001 dodge neon runs and drive for a while, roughly 10 miles sometimes more sometimes less, then it dies and i tested and it hacd no spark, i replaced the coil and the problem still persists the car will...

Change the coolant sensor near the thermostat housing. Dodges are known for this problem. Be careful not to over torque the sensor. This will cause them to malfunction. Just tight enough to stop leaking of coolant.

2004 Dodge Neon - Engine died, coasted to stop, and won't restart. Not even a click. Brand new battery, clean terminals, fuses good, starter relay good. Radio and lights work. Power windows work fine.

Does the starter turn the engine over,or not?Or is the engine not running when you turn the ENGINE OVER AND OVER? If there is no starter turning on the car, then check for a start,or main fuse to see if one is blown. Also look for a fusible link burned into.It will look like a wire, but if it is burned into, you can pull the link apart like taffy. It will either be on the starter with the battery cable,or on a positive cable junction near the battery. If I can help, let me know.

Dies after driving for 10 minutes

I think I'd have to gamble on a new relay, and clean up contacts in those sockets with electrical cleaner, then add dielectric grease before plugging in new one. Do the pump first obviously.

Odometer flashing fuse

I had this happen to me last night. For some reason, the battery was dead. I hooked up a charger and got it started. The battery light came on and then went away after the car ran for a little while.

In my case, it flashed "fuse" and it was a dead battery.
