Having trouble with the anti theft system. Car will not start in the morning right away. I sit there and look moronic as I open and close window, put seatbelt on and off, switch from acc to on position, open/close door, etc. I try everything, and then it will suddenly start right up, but by then, I have no idea what helped it to do so. . Is there a starting sequence I can do routinely that I can count on so I'm not late for work. I've been leaving 45 minutes earlier, and have still been late. There has to be an easier way. Or, is it possible to just completely disarm or deactivate this antitheft system, because I wouldn't even want to wish this **** on a car thief.

You can start it by putting into program mode...try to start, then turn it to off..,,then turn it to on (not start)..leave it on for 15 min...turn it to off for 2 min..and start..

This will reset the signal from the bcm to the pcm of the car.

you most like ly have a problem in the start switch key reader...It has to be replaced as a unit

Or it could be your bcm or pcm...very very expensive... try this first... If it does not work off to the dealership..don't even try to give this to a garage to fix. Gm has the software to reflash your computer.

With the car RUNNING cut the yellow wire to the ignition switch from the group of three wires.
Make sure the car is RUNNING when the wire is cut.
Tape the ends and thats it.....the car will start first time from now on....as long as you don't mind not having anti theft.

all dash lights keep coming on and either stay on or flash until you step on brake....also the dinger keeps dinging until you press on the brake.....we have had a tech work on it but have no idea whats going on.....HELP

there is a button under the steering wheel to the right. Push it, and it will alternate between "on" and "off" mode. try starting it after doing that.

If your problem isn't from accidentally having that button engaged you could have faulty wiring in the anti-theft system, and you should definately get that looked at. It could leave you stranded one day.
