Jack up and support the vehicle on the sub frame. Remove the wheels. Unbolt the strut to knuckle bolts. Unbolt the strut mount from the strut tower (3 13mm head bolts) Remove the strut assembly.

It your replacing with "quick struts" reinstall and have the alignment done.

If your just replacing the strut you will need to bring the old strut assemblies to a shop to have the springs compressed. Once the springs are compressed the strut nut can be removed from the strut and the strut can be replaced.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REMOVE THE STRUT NUT FROM THE STRUT WITHOUT COMPRESSING THE SPRINGS. YOU WILL HURT YOURSELF.

I would not suggest doing this unless you have a wall wounted strut machine...super dangerous.but if you want they have quick struts with new strut, coil ,and top plate.

The strut must be compressed for mounting. Labor is approximately 2 hours. Not sure what labor costs in your area or if your shop will allow you to bring strut or require you to buy from them.

This would indicate that the front indicator bulb is burnt out and needs to be replaced.

undo the ball joint/remove sway bar link nut at arm/ remove bolt[s] from arm to frame. it has a strut so no worries about any springs. pretty easy really

it takes a 32mm socket to remove front hub nut on these vehicles

anne its a long prosess,do you have the spring compressers or did your new ones come with springs?
first you have too pull the wheels then remove the brake calipiers then remove the tierod end then remove the halfshaft nut then un bolt the strut from the housing then take the three nuts off under the hood at the wheelwell
it will come out then if you dont have the new springs on the new struts you will need the strut spring compresser you can rent it at auto zone for 5.00
