It resets automatically, there is no manual reset, if it is not functioning correctly the sensor in the front of the radiator is defective or the display is defective.

My rear view mirror is loose this is NOT a convertable 2005 Beetle. It is part of the one with clock and temp and the mirror has a light in bottom

If you push the mirror upwards it should just click into position, unclick the clock housing so you can locate the mirror easier the click the clock housing back,

How do i get the rear view mirror back on?

I am assuming you are talking about the interior rear view mirror and not the side rear view mirror. Most auto parts stores sell an adhesive glue to fix the interior rear view mirror. Most of these mirrors have two parts to them. One part is the bracket that glues to the windshield and the other part is the rear view mirror assembly. Before gluing the bracket to the glass check and see how the mirror assembly attaches to the bracket. There will often be a screw that fixed the two together.
