Help a newbie out please !! I have a 1986 G-20 Van . Problem is this > I need all the steel brake lines for this chassis ! All the winters here in the Midwest have taken their tole......rrrrrrrrrrr. Anyone have a source for "formed " lines? I have tried all the usual parts suppliers. Auoto Zone,NAPA,O'Reilly, JC Whitney, etc. etc. I would prefer to find a formed set of lines rather than piece this system together with a ton of lines & adapters.(been there-done that)too many times to count. Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thanks,!!!!!!!
No on makes ready to install lines, this is fuel and brake lines, all brake lines must be made from straight tubing using the old line as a template. I know this really su.... but there is no way around it, do u have a tubing bender and a double flaring tool, u MUST HAVE THESE BASIC TOOLS AND KNOW HIOW TO USE THEM PROPERALY
The only place i have found that serves pre formed lines is straight from gm, but wether they still stock what you need is anybody's guess, another place you can try is to find a van restoration supplier
If you are lucky a dealer may be able to get them, but all the years i have been doing this i have never found any. for 20 years now i have been bending my own brake lines. good luck with the dealer,
