Try replacing your direct ignition cassette with a known good one.TI'm pretty sure that's the problem.

How can I test the fuel pressure on my Saab? It randomly died like it ran out of gas full tank, began with a mildy rough idle and ultimately died a few seconds later.

Look for a test port on the fuel pressure regulator. It will look similar to the valve stem on your wheel where you add air to the tire. Connect a test gauge there..

Stalling/possible overheating in engine, but not registering on the temp gauge

If it is a turbo, check the Turbo BypassValve. Also check all vacuum hoses, after 100 Kmiles replace them all.

I need an engine diagram for a 1995 saab 900 se V6

A SAAB dealer should be able to print one out for you. BTW that engine is practically identical to the V6 used in a caddy Catera, and Saturn Ion. Those diagrams would be the same, so you might want to search that also.
