Most cars you top up the trans fluid through the stem that the dip stick for the transmission goes into.

hope this is helpful.

OK The filler plug will be on the side of the gearbox that is furthest away from the CV shaft. If you are going to do this it is better to drain the casing and then refil with fresh gearbox oil. There is a drain plug on the under side of the gearbox you need to undo and drain the oil. replace this once you have drained and then fill through the filler hole until you can feel with your finger in the hole that the fluid is just below the hole. Dont forget to replace the filler bolt once you have finished.

also make sure you do this on a level parking pad.

Hope this helps. Let me know how you get on.

    Have a good day.

What type of transmission fluid is for lancer 96 1.3cc automatic transmission ?

You have a few options but there are some that will convert Regular ATF if you add the "FRICTION MODIFIER". The IMPORT Fluid will say it on the Bottle, If your Transmission is a CVT Transmission (you have the smaller engine), then you need to get to the dealer. But normally the Import will say the Proper Fluid on the Bottle.

How do i bleed the master cylinder on an 02 lancer

Check the slave cylinder on the transmission for leaks, and replace if it is. Bleeding:
1. put fluid in the master reservoir.
2. move the slave actuator shaft so the clutch release lever has not slack.
3. Have someone press the clutch pedal, and crack the slave bleed nipple to let out the air.

Once the slave moves the release lever, you'll be able to decide if the clutch is OK or not.

2002 x type .. is it possible to OVER fill the transmission fluid..if so will it cause the transmission to not move in reverse?

02-06 Jaguar X-types should all have a sealed transmission which cannot have fluid added to them but by the transmission shop. My wife's 02 x-type had the tranny go out completely at about 80K. Cost us $3500 and our transmission guy said it was a very common problem/manufacturing defect.
If it doesn't go into reverse odds are the transmission is on its way out. Good luck!

Going about 20 mph rpms will jump it acts like it is in neutral its an 02 mitsubshi lancer es with about 154000 miles its done this same thing just at a higher speed it would do this then it quit doing it...

Have the transmission seviced. check the condition of the old fluid. if it smells burnt you may need ferther repairs, but try just having it serviced or flushed first you may be able to save yourself a very expensive repair.

WHERE DO YOU PUT THE TRANSMISSION FLUID FOR A 2003 LANCER OZ

Hi!!
The transmission fluid is poured thru the transmission dipstick tube, you'll need a small funnel to do this. Do not overfill.

Where do I add the transmission fluid on a 2002 Mitshubshi Lancer?

You add the automatic transmission fluid through the dipstick/level check hole ( on the transmission) using a long skinny funnel. Be sure to only use Diamond ATF SP III or an equivalent. Mitsubishi transmissions require regular fluid changes (every 30, 000 to 35,000 miles) with the correct fluid or they will not shift correctly.

I need to know what type of transmission fluid to use when i change it in my 02 lancer. It is a manual transmission

Even though it's a manual trans it probably takes automatic trans fluid. It should tell you in the owners manual, if they only give you the Mitsubishi part number a auto parts store should be able to tell what that number crosses to.

Where do i put the transmission fluid on a 2002 lancer es

you can't put the transmission fluid in yourself on an auto or manual transmission for a 2002 lancer es. It has to be injected into the transmission through a nipple that is on the transmission.
