Do you have a professional scanner ,do a scan of the whole vehicle . Instrument cluster , BCM , etc... Not OBD2 scan from autozone or advance etc.... thier tool can't check the whole vehicle network . The control module's on your vehicle all share information on what is called a serial data bus ,or communication network. ( temperature guage not working- sending unit keeps blowing, ) I don't think the sending unit is the problem , an it's not a sending unit . It's a engine coolant temperature sensor ,an it's a input to the PCM/ECM - engine computer . The engine computer send's this info. to the instrument cluster on the GMLAN data network . GM had problem's with stepper motors in the instrument clusters . The stepper motor control's the gauge needle.2003 to 2006
How to repair GM Instrument Cluster Speedometer Gauge Stepper

Also sounds like you have wiring harness issue's ,finding an viewing wiring diagrams an using a DMM - digital multi-meter to test affected circuit's is the way to a fix. Not guessing !

Free wiring diagrams here Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine size. Under system click on lighting ,then under subsystem click on headlamps . Click the search button then the blue link . Looking at the diagram you will see the headlamp / multifunction switch is a low voltage input to the BCM - body control module , do you know anything about automotive electronic's ? The high beams are contolled by a relay energized by the BCM . Check through some of the other wiring diagrams ,for the dash light's , pull the instrument cluster an check connection's ,power & ground circuit's etc...

The harness is worn on the inside of the steering wheel needs to be removed and the harness repaired or replaced. This is dangerous because it has air bag inside, if you want to do this post here and I will post the proceedure to do this with.

Lights or fuse for my speed odemeter guage and heater/air conditioning system

These lights for the dash are controlled by a rheostat instrument control dimmer switch next to the main light switch for the headlights, it is either turned off (have seen this dozens of times) or it is defective. Below is a picture of the switch assembly I speak of. The thumb wheel next to the knob is the dimmer control.

Engine cooling fan not coming on ,fan motor is good

Check the fan relay, it is the only relay inside the power distribution box, under hood on the lefthand fender just behind the air cleaner box. This relay sometimes has bad or dirty connections. Also check the temperature sending unit that activates this relay, it is located in the heater hose directly under the ignition coil, the hose runs between the thermostat housing and the firewall, there are two sensors here the single wire sensor is for the dash guage. Hope this helps, let me know.

The temperature gauge on my 2002 grand prix dose

the temperature sending unit on a 97 grand prix 3800 gt(which is also the coolant temperature sensor) is not accurate. the sending unit part of this sensor only sends info to the guage on the dash. the coolant sensor part sends info to the computer of the car. it is located under thermostat and somewhat difficult to get at. i had put a brand new one in and my temperature on my dash is all over the place---even with good thermostat and properly bled system. when i hook up a scanner to my computer, the coolant sensor is sending the computer(ecu??) what seems to be the right temp. anywhere from 194 degrees to 217 when hot. the guage however on dash go from 160 to 260 in less than 2 minutes.

Fuel gauge inaccurate & warning light always on.

Hi. the inaccurate fuel gauge is easily fixed by replacing the fuel guage sending unit that is located in the fuel tank. this sending unit sends the appropriate signal the the gauge on the dash. all calculations are configured by the sending unit and if this device is malfunctioning, it will not send an accurate reading to the fuel gauge. simply replacing this device will fix the fuel guage issue you are having at this time.

Concerning the Amp drain after two days. this is caused by some sort of energy drain that can be in a faulty vacuum pump that isn't shutting off or, some sort of defect in the ECM. you could also have a faulty fuel pump relay that isn't shutting of and this will slowly drain energy from the battery within a two day period as well.

You can narrow down the battery drain by using a volt meter(needle) or multimeter. open the fuse box located on the drivers side below the dash. pull the fuse box door and expose the entire fuse box. you will need to pull each individual fuse independently to test if the actual slot is being used with the ignition switch in the off position.

Use the fuse slots contact prongs for testing the current level if any. with the ignition switch off, test all slots for live current feed. each slot that is dead is not affected and you may reinsert the respective fuse but, if you run across a live slot that is receiving a current while the ignition switch is in the off position, this specific slot will be the affected device that is draining the battery.

Test all fuse box slot accordingly. you will find the drain with this procedure.

Please rate and god bless:)

test the temperature sending unit.  most mazdas built after 1998 have 2 of sending unit is for the the guage in the dash, the other sending unit goes to the vehicle computer, which in turn controls the idle and fuel to air ratio for the vehicle. if it is getting a bad signal or none t all it thinks the car is still very cold and causes it to run ruff and the light stays on  till reset
