Car doesn't respond when gas pedal is pushed when it is driven in hot weather; engine does not stall (1991 lexus ls400

Could be gas related, Pump, Filter, MAF, Injectors. Could be Cat decided to clog, maybe a chunk busted loose and clogged the exhaust. Any number of things. I would suggest going to autozone or Advanced Auto parts and having them plug their code reader into the ECU and see if any codes are popping up. If the car is dying, you should have a check engine lite that has come on, especially since the car would have been running sluggish and probably rough or misfiring at some point. If not then you may be looking at ECU problems.

May be its low on coolant or radiator hoses clogged or its thermostat issue,its remaining closed or it can be issue with coolant leaking from somewhere.Or cooling fan not running when when engine gets warm.

There are many possibilities for car overheating.

Faulty thermostat clogged radiator/plugged radiator, radiator hose worn out. Coolant running low. Low coolant pressure. Faulty temperate sensor.

sounds like the fuel filter is bad or the throttle position sensor is going bad.

Wish I had an answer - sounds very much like a problem I am having with my '92 LS400. I have a parts car, and have changed out the ECM, fuel pump, injectors, fuel pilter, fuel pressure regulator, ran the can with exhaust unbolted (check for clogged CATs, checked out my timing belt for slippage amoung other things, and nothing works. I have no check engine light on. Do you?

depending on the color of the smoke,but try a few gas treatments.after ur next fill up,but a gas treatment n fuel tank&take her on the interstate and open it up(drive fast within speed limit lol).

It sounds like a fuel delivery issue so it could be many things such as low fuel pressure from the pump,clogged or partially pluged fuel filter, a malfunctioning throttle posisitioning sensor (if you have a check engine light on) or if its turbo it could be turbo lag etc.
