Any helpful hints to changing rear brakes in a 90/tracker, I've successfully changed the front brakes but they were disk not drum

You'll need special tools to accomplish that. Use a brake dust spray to clean the parts before you disassemble anything. That way you won't inhale a lot of brake dust. Some auto parts stores will loan or rent the special tools necessary to do the job on your particular model.

If you have done front brakes before, it is the same procedure. They are built the same, just on a different axle.

2004 x3 rear brake pad replacement diy

You Can probably accomplish this yourself if you have a brake pad warning light or ABS/ASC light on you may need a BMW tech to reset the system to complete the job.

I need to replace the rear brakes and rotors on my 2004 Audi A4. Will I need special tools to do this? Can I still do the job without these tools?

'B6' (2001-2004) A4s dont have seperate rotors on the rear brakes like the pre 2001 A4s do. When changing the rear pads + discs the only special tool you will need is a caliper wind back tool. Let me know if you do also need to replace any ABS components aswell as I might be able to advise.

Need 2 change brakes on 94 cadillac deville

Brakes are something that most drivers should not attempt mostly because when you step ,on the brakes you want to stop. You don't say if you have caiper brakes all around or just on the front. I have worked on brakejobs for quite a few years and always do the calipers too. repairs are expensive nowadays as with most repair shops. most shops charge one for things that they don't change so it is expensive. To do a brake job properly one needs specialized tools and know how.

Brake caliper release on 92 BMW 318i e36

BMW brakes Remove like any disc brakes. No special tools required. Make sure piston is pushed back into caliper. Don?t dangle caliper on hose, rather support with a wire

Replacing brake pads in 2001 passat tdi

You'll need a few special tools. You will need some common metric wrenches and sockets, 10-19mm will be more than enough, and you'll need an 8mm Allen bit as well, to remove the caliper mounting bolts (these anchor the caliper to the caliper carrier). If you're doing rear brakes, you'll also need the proper tools to screw the calipers back in. If you're doing front brakes, you can use a C-clamp to compress the pistons back in. Other than that, and maybe a big beefy screwdriver to separate the caliper from the carrier, there's nothing to it.
