sounds like your engin idel is to low which would make the car want to die at a stop sign or stop light

I suspect you have two separate issues your lights staying on is possibly a faulty stop and tail light bulb check both , I suspect you may also have a faulty starter motor.

Most likley problem is your brake light switch. go underneath the dash to the brake pedal and depending on wether you have cruise control or not ther will be one or two sensors there. the black sensor should be the brake light switch. disconnect and jump the connector with a paper clip and see if the brake lights comeon and the shifter will move.

You have a short in the circuit either the brake light switch it self or the wires giong to the tail lights or third break light.

EGR valve, throttle position sensor or idle air valve should all be checked

Remove or disconnect the following:

• Negative battery cable from the battery
• Air duct
• Harness protector from the harness
• Starter wiring at the starter
• Starter-to-engine bolts
• Starter from the vehicle

Hook up the Amp Turn on Wire usually blue/white strip

on the side of the motor... don't know which side... where it meets the transmission.
