We, meaning my husband and me as helper) rather than breaking the interior panel, which a replacement is difficult to find, removed the broken outside door handle, and maneuvered the rod manually, simulating the movements of the door handle. The door opened and we clicked the child lock off and then replaced the exterior handle.
take a shop towel and pull it under the crank handle. then rotate rag to snag clip. it will fly off so keep an eye out for it. to reinstall put clip on handle then simlply push it back on
there is a plastic c-clip that holds the window handle on. you can use a screwdriver topry it off or a rag works well if you can get it stuck in the clip.
Look under the round part of the handle, see if there is a small allen screw there,if it is unscrew it until the handle comes off.if not send a new message
if you pull out on the window crank just a little you can see the clip get a skinny flat head and push one end of the clip it will fall on the floor so dont lose it then the crank will slide off you should be able to get it from there
1. Remove the 4 screws and the screw in the opening mechanism. 2. Remove the cap on the lock button. 3. Remove the mirror lever cap by pulling it straigt out. It is attached with one clip. 4. Remove the door crank by detaching the C-clip between the spacer and the door panel. It's tricky and somekind of hook could be useful. 5. Pull out the plastic clips. Be careful. I think a spatula could be a useful tool. 6. Move the panel forward and up to remove the opening mechanism from the door. Then pull the mechaninsm out from the panel, turn it and push it back through the panel. 7. At this point the panel should be removed and you can see the door speaker and the adaptor. As you can see the opening mechanism remains on the door. To put the doorcrank back just put the pieces together in the picture and push it in position.
Good luck and Do rate the solution as FixYa if found useful.
put thin piece of cloth between window crank, twist it around, turn window crank up and down, then pull thin piece of cloth away from the round spinable crank ball (piece you hold) this shud remove interior hidden C clip. try again if you dont succeed. those tools they sell wont fit and will scratch the door panel. I am having probs in removing the door handle and lock mechanism... removed screw, yet still attched. grrrr
Remove the door window regulator handle and then remove clip using a piece of cloth (Manual type only).2.Remove the quadrant inner cover and the rear view mirror.3.Remove the front door inside handle housing.4.Remove the front door trim panel.5.Insert a trim panel remover between the trim fasteners and the door trim panel to pry off.Disconnect the door lamp connector.
