Replacing passenger side mirror on 1998 GMC Jimmy, need wiring diagram ?

check for broken ground wire or bulb filaments crossed in the fixture..

Get a Haynes repair manual ( 25 bux ) from a part store. It has step by step
instructions with pics. You'll be looking for chapter 11 ,section 7 & 8 .

easy job , takes about an hour .

On this year and model the caps are labeled, it shows were the wires go, i will give you a diagram to help you. i made a picture of the engine as you would see it from standing in the front, i labeled the cap and the cylinders for you , hope this helps. good day.

check motor in mirrors for power,rember power travels battery+ to switch then to mirrors threw wires and conections there maybe a relay in the middel,then to earth threw panels or wires,if there algood maybe its the motors,,,but its rare to have both go at the same time

Very simple....but take your time.

Pry the plastic cover off from the interior side of the mirror. Once you have that popped off, unfasten the mirror, have some one hold the old mirror from the outside. Pull up on the mirror assembly and the wire harness to should become visible. Unclip the harness, toss the old mirror and reverse installation of your new one.

That's it!....But take your time!

There is a screw behind the lock rod. Lift door panel straight up to remove

It should just slide out. You might have to use a little bit of force

On my '97, there was a triangular shaped piece of plastic on the inside trim that had to be removed. I think all three mounting screws were under that. It's been a few years, but I think that was how it was done.
I remember it was pretty easy though.
