Replaced Fuel pump module now 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 will turn over but will not start. Acts like security system is engaged but have gone thru the steps to disengage and still will not start. Can you give me any ideas what might be going on? Has new computer as well.

Does it have spark while cranking the engine? Will it start while cranking and spraying starting fluid/carb cleaner into intake? If it still does not start with the spray fluid, check your crank sensor.

I have a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. I replaced the crankshaft censor, the camshaft sensor, and removed the alarm system module. It will not start. I also replaced the distributor cap rotor etc.

dont just replace parts and hope--u must target the area--a data stream run w factory gear is really helpful--a code reader is usually not enough-----the module u took out is connected to ignition----inspect coil-plug wires--ignition module--distributer cap may be worn inside--look for any loose wiring in engine area----may need a fuel pressure test--regulator and pump cud be worn---basic spark and fuel hardware are the weakest links

I have a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 that doesn't overheat but acts like its not getting fuel sometimes. There is no consistency to when it does it, it does not do it all the time. When you push down...

Your indications sound more like a clogged fuel filter or intermittant fuel pump. But it could also be your air supply! When was the last time you changed your air filter and fuel filter. I would start with those two first and then check the fuel pump.

My 95 Jeep GC had a similar problem when I was doing a lot of driving on dirt or gravel roads, and I had to blow out the air filter (with compressed air) often to clear the problem.

My 1995 jeep grand cherokee limited v8 5.2 will not start changed fuel filter and still did not start sounds like it wants too but it seems as if gas is not flowing thru fuel lines or fuel pump is out, can...

Hi,
The best and quickest test you can do is to remove the main fuel hose outlet from the fuel filter. Turn the key on and see if any fuel comes from it. If not then chances are your fuel pump is faulty and you need to replace it.
Before you do that just check you have ignition supply at the fuel pump when ignition is turned on, in some case's you need to hold the ignition key in the start position before the fuel will run out of the hose which you have removed, so try this also.
Let me know if you need more information.
Thanks
Jason

Starting problems

since the computer is only supposed to send fuel and spark signals in reaction to input info, unless a wire in the harness is either grounding or crossing into an output wire, i'd think it's safe to assume the computer is doing that internally. Another reason is that if it were a wiring problem, pretty likely it would not run well after you did get it started.
The only thing I'd do aside from replacing the computer is to unplug all the sensors one by one while it is acting up, to get an idea about wether the errant signal is coming from a sensor or internally.
Likely you can get another computer from a scrapyard.for lots less than a new one. Since this is a "guess" repair, you may want to try that.

I have a 1995 jeep gcl. The engine turns over but will not start. Is it the fuel pump or a relay of some kind.

its either the fuel pump or relay, crank sensor or ignition module or coil. Or even possibly a failed computer, If it will start with quick start then its a failed fuel pump or relay or fuse for it. If it still does not start then testing components will be needed in the ignition system

1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 6 cylinder won't start. It turns over but seems like gas isn't getting to it. Any way to check for a solution to the problem?

Spray some starting fluid into the air intake for a couple seconds, then try to start. If it starts for a couple seconds and dies, you have a fuel delivery problem i.e. fuel pump or relay,
