That does not sound clear to me. Could not start, replacing the crank sensor then it start. The main issue am seeing there is the charging system . The battery is bad or it drains.
Cant really see why replacing a crank snsor would help a car crank, although i understand why it would start when cranking.
Maybe you have a duff battery or a failure on your charging system.
I would strongly suggest using a diagnostic computer to realise the correct area of fault before guessing and spending lots of money on the wrong parts.

1997 Buick park avenue ultra
The radiator is in the front of the car under the hood behind the grille. It will be rectangular shaped and have a fan set to blow against it. It will have a cap on the top. DO NOT REMOVE THE CAP WHILE THE ENGINE IS HOT. Beside the radiator is another rectangular shaped item that looks like the radiator but is the condensor for the air conditioner. It does not have a cap on top and is in front of the radiator.
The drain for the radiator is on the lower part. After draining be sure to close the drain before refilling.
Refill the overflow bottle as well.
AFTER you refill, let the engine run for about a minute while topping off the radiator so any air will work out of the system.
Then install and tighten radiator cap.
When you drain the radiator, dispose of the fluid according to local regulations or recycling center. Do not allow animals to drink any of it. It's poisonous.
You can get an auto repair manual from library, auto parts stores or the internet.

fuel pressure regulator!! located onear the fuel rail. next time after it stops , pull the vacuum line off the fuel pressure regulator. if gas comes out the vacuum line its the regulator. easy to fix , only need a snapring pliers. part is about $50 bucks.. richie
