1996 Kia Sephia When the weather is cold, my car starts hard. It turns over, but won't start. The odor of fuel is strong. Once I get it started I can turn it off, and it will start right back up again. When the weather is warm, my car starts right up.

This should actually be quite easy. There are sensors that the engine uses to tell when the engine is cold. If it is stuck one way or the other you will get a hard start either hot or cold like you are experiencing. You should have one for the guage on your dash and one that tells the computer how to act and operate the engine efficiently. You need to eplace the one for the engine. The part runs about....are you ready for this....$10 - $20! It takes about 5 minutes to replace. It is located in the upper engine area, end of intake manifold and in the the engine block. You need a long socket, ratchet, teflon tape for the threads and you done. Let me know if you need anything else.

I smell gas when I start my car and turn on my heater Kia Sephia 2001

I strongly recommend you stop driving this car immediately, the possibility of raw fuel in the engine compartment can be extremely dangerous. It sounds like you may have a fuel leak around the engine bay somewhere and need to locate the source and have repaired.

2000 kia sephia fuel pump/overheating/not turning over

sorry to tell you but you have a blown headgasket or cracked cylinder head. that is why the coolant blows out of the radiator and the engine won't start due to engine compression getting into the cooling system.

Starting problems

Your problem may be one of the following:
First check or just replace the fuel filter. Usually located under the car in front of the rear axle, drivers side.
Next, the fuel pump may be worn out. Usually they get loud or stop working (running).
Next, check the fuel pressure regulator. Usually located on the front fuel rail, drivers side.
Is the vacuum line attached? Not leaking or rotted?
Also, do you smell a strong fuel odor when it won't start? May be one or more stuck-open injectors, or the coil pack(s) is/are bad.
Checking these in the order listed will more than likely fix your problem.

Engine turns but dies immediately, sometimes when

Change fuel filter and check air filter, if this doesnt help check fuel pump pressure.

try a fuel system clean you can get them at any auto parts store then if that dosnt work you may need to replace your fuel pump or fuel injectors.

My 2000 kia sephia is not starting i bought a new battery, new fuel pump, new coils also wires and spark plugs, but still wont start. I also check the starter and took it to O' Railly Auto parts and...

sounds like either the teeth on the flywheel or on the starter itself are missing a few gears or the sylinoid is not ingaging the starter enough
