I have a 99 Tacoma and the running lights have stopped working. The brake lights still work; I've replaced the bulbs and checked the fuses and they're still not working.

Check the relay--probably in the engine compartment fuse box. If you have a test light, you can probbe the relay socket to see if the switch is working too.

Please see my tip at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r6022358-relay_check . These are generic instructions. If you get stuck or need specific instructions for your car, please get back to me with model, year and engine info.

Toyota Tacoma 1995 both brake ights out but blinkers and hazards work... i think its the fuses my boyfriend said its the light bulbs

I would go with your boyfriend on the bulbs. Get new bulbs and if they still don't work then check the fuses. If neither of those get them working it might be something in the wiring / connections. Good luck.

99 Chevy Tahoe... Rear turn signals, brake lights, and hazards

I had this problem, and to be honest, it happened to the left side about a week later...it's the board that the bulbs plug into...it's a very common problem with this model. So popular that you can normally get the socket board off the shelf at a parts store! it's extremely simple to replace, and I replaced all the bulbs at the same time!

99 mercury mystide had rear running light broken

If the driver's side tail light is working, it's not a fuse. Use a test light to check for power at the bulb holder. One terminal will be for tail light, the other for brake/turn light. If the is constant power for tail light, replace bulb. If no power, trace wiring from bulb holder to driver's side junction. Probable broken wire between the two tail lights.
