I have a 93 lexus es300. the door opens from the inside but will not open from the outside. Can you explain or send me a diagram of how the handle operates. the handle appears to be o.k. and the lock is working properly. The handle costs 198.00 dollers! What should I look for to check and see if the rod(the piece that connects the handle to the lock) is the problem and not the handle itself?

I just changed the cabin filter of my ES300. I found the instructions on the manual, under airconditioning and audio. It's pretty easy to do. I bought the filter from Kragen's for $21.95.

with the engine running at operating tempature the electric cooling fans should be running. if they are not this means that one or more of the sensors could be faulty. either the coolant temp sensor on the intake manifold or the one on the fan assembly. also there could be a bad relay in the power distribution box under the hood. this would be a good place to start. with the engine running at tempature the fan should be running if it s not then go to the power distribution box and switch the relay of the a/c clutch with the radiator fan relay if the fans kick on then replace the fan relay if the fans do not kick on you have either a faulty temp sensor on the fan or the fan itself is bad. if the fan is running properly then it's a mechanical problem mostlikely your water pump is not circul;ating the coolant. to check this remove the radiator cap( remember if the vehicle is hot do not remove the cap it's under pressure ) touch the upper radiator hose if it is hot then the thermostat is open and it is ok if it is cold then replace the thermostat.if the radiator cap is removed and the vehicle is running you should be able to see coolant movement in the radiator if there is not replace the water pump

My Son has a 95 es300, the amp for it is located under the front passenger seat. The easiest way to access it is to remove the 4 bolts holding the seat down, and remove the seat. Takes about 5 minutes

Check oil level sensor, replace if necessary. also, does your engine knock or make a tapping sound?
