This will normally mean a leak in the Evaporative Emission sytem. You can go to an Autozone or Oreillys and have them scan your vehicle for free. They will also clear the computer code if you want. This will make the light go out. If the gascap was loose, the code will continue for 30 to 40 startups until it clears.

If the code comes back, you have a small leak in the system and it needs to go on a "smoke" machine to detect anf fix the leak.

Yellow light on dashboard sort of square with some zig zag sign on it keeps coming on what does it mean is wrong

That is your check engine light. It comes on for a number of reasons, from a loose or faulty gas cap, to low oil. You can drive to most major parts stores(Autozone or Advance to name a couple) and they will read your obd2(on board diagnostics) computer for free. That will tell you which component on your car is causing the light to illuminate.

F-150 ford truck check engine light keeps coming on

Did you replace the gas cap? Also check the filler tube that's where the gas cap snaps on where you put gas in. The filler tube or neck has a thin lining of plastic at the top look for small cracks in it where the gas cap goes on. It there's cracks in it, it will cause an emission leak and sometimes a dealer won't find it until you spent a lot of money on diagnostics. And it depends if there best mechanic was working on it.

Check gas cap keeps coming on

It could mean that the gas cap isn't on properly, the gas cap is bad, or there's a pressure leak somewhere else

Engine light

Your evap system is detecting a small leak. the seal of your gas cap is at fault. Make sure you hear the cliicking of the cap when re-installed. If it still makes your light come on, replace the fuel cap.
