I was having the same problem with my 85 Ramcharger until my alternator went out. After I replaced it the stalling seemed to stop. Other things I noticed that resolved were dimming headlights and dash lights, the radio shutting off periodically when I drove and hard bumps causing the truck to stall. I hope this helps.
Sounds like a problem I had with my '85 Dodge D150 Ram Prospector. In my case, the automatic choke was broken and it was starved for air during acceleration because the choke was always closed. It ran fine at idle or very slow acceleration. I wired the choke open and it runs much better, although it is much more difficult to start as the fuel mix is lean due to the extra air. Once it gets warmed up, though, it runs fine. I hear that the barrel carb on mine often has problems.
the steering wheel is locked. Put the key in and grasp the steering wheel and turn just slightly to take the pressure off of the cylinder It will only move an inch or 2 but the problem you are having is that the wheel locks and put pressure on the cylinder preventing it from being able to turn, jamming it into place. once pressure is removed the key should turn.
either you have the wrong key,or try turning the steering wheel to the right all the way, then turn key, this usually happens when you park the vehicle and the wheels are turned, then the steering wheel locks hard
