Intermittent faults are the hardest to diagnose. The only way is to find an auto electrician and his pro grade scan tool computer can record what is happening and what causes it? The first thing I would do is check all the grounds.
Hi, if the battery charging light keeps coming on and the battery is draining it almost certainly means that your alternator needs attention. It may be that the alternator belt is loose or is slipping or theremay be a fault with the alternator itself. A local garage should be able to help you rectify the issue quickly
Good Luck
Have you checked your battery??? A bad battery will not hold a charge. When you jump it to start it it will then keep running on the power produced by your alternator. The alternator will be trying to charge your battery but will not be able to if your battery is bad.
I'd start by tracing the fuel supply and return lines from the gas tank to the engine compartment. Make sure that they are free of kinks or other damage.
Next, check the fuse box and make sure there is power to the fuel pump. Trace the electrical connections leaving the fuel tank and make sure they weren't torn or otherwise damaged by the tire tread.
The problem could be either one. To find out jump start the engine, with engine still running disconnect the positive battery cable. If the engine dies the alternator is bad. If the engine continues to run the alternator is working.
