ABS BRAKE LIGHT ON IN MY SUBURBAN/GMC TRUCK

AFTER A TOTAL BRAKE JOB FROM ROTORS TO BRAKE LINES, OUR ABS LIGHT, AND BRAKE LIGHTS ARE STILL ON, WHATS THE PROBLEM.

    I have a 2001 sonoma extended cab and the ABS and BRAKE LIGH have come on at the same time I had it checked by an alledged manachanic who said he could not find the problem whith his scope what to do next I have manachil experiance but health keeps me from everything PLEASE HELP!!

    abs light comes on and their is a grinding sound when you step on the brakes.

Try diconnecting the battery for a minute or so, then reconnect it. the computer should reset itself, and hopefully the light will go out.

I would presume this is a potential issue with the master cylinder not allowing fluid to return to the reservoir.
If the ABS had an issue, then the issue would likely be between the ABS unit and the brake unit.

I changed the front brake rotors and pads also the rear cyliners and shoes and bled the rear brakes but not the front because i didnt disconect the front brake lines. So why is my brake pedal so soft? and...
keep bleeding and bleed the front as well the littlest amount of air will keep pedal spongy if the abs came on after doning brakes check the abs lines and connections up front the abs lines sometimes get banged up will doing brake job the abs sensor is the wire that runs from behind the rotor to the fire wall sometimes they get hit knocked into or damaged if wiring looks good have vehicle scanned for code .the code will make it easier to pinpoint what side-- if circuit problem--or if sensor went bad most auto stores offer scanning for free

2005 GMC Envoy, no brake fluid is getting to the right front caliper. disconnected the brake line where the rubber line and the metal line are attached, pumped brakes and get absolutely no fluid through...
You may have a defective line on the right front brake. GM had a batch of bad lines installed on several year models. I had one collapse on mine with the caliper closed and burned my caliper, rotor and pads. Try to disconnect the metal line further back at the equalizer and see if you get fluid there. If you do replace line.

I had my front brakes replaced on a 1999 GMC diesel suburban and 2 days later the abs brake light is on and I don't have any abs brakes. Help
they probably broke a wire going to your abs sensor on one of your front wheels.have it scanned to see which one it is.

My ABS light is on for awhile now, I went to AutoZone this mourning and they said my rear brake needs to be changed. One other thing, my front seems to wabble when I put on the brakes can you help me....
the wobble is from heat warping the rotor from applying the brakes fair too hard and fast or simply from long term wear

Brake pulsating and abs light is on
brake pulsation is caused by warped brake rotors, not sure the ABS light and the pulsation are related, The ABS warning light requires a scanner to be connected and to read the fault code that is stored when the ABS warning light is turned on.

I replaced my brake rotors on a 2004 gmc canyon and installed new brakes. everything works great, however my abs light stays on now.
IF you installed the wrong brake rotors,without the ABS reluctor ring[if equipped],the light will come on.Second possibility is you damaged the ABS wiring to the wheel speed sensor.There is a harness to each wheel.

Yuo will need the use of a scanner to get the ABS code. This will direct you to the problem. Some auto parts stores will check codes for free.

ABS light on after replacing the front and rear brake pads .
u will need to check the wheel speed sensors behind the brake rotors to see if they got damaged or disconnected during the brake job, as long as the ABS light is on the Anti-lock brake system is disabled, regular braking without the need of ABS will feel fine.

Anti-lock brakes come on just before I stop.
It might be a ALB sensor. Did you check to see if the sensor is operational? Its the cheapest place to check.
