Hi Amandafer906,
I would have changed to air filter if it was badly flooded. If it was a clean filter it would be OK after drying it out.
You didn't say so but I would also have changed the oil filter.
Did you dry out the following items under your hood:
1. main fuse box (remove the plastic cover to help dry it out)
2. starter motor (and attached starter solenoid)
3. alternator
4. Engine Control Unit (sometimes called ECM) (might not be under the hood as it could be under the dashboard)
5. Main relay box (sometimes under the hood)
Did you check for water in:
1. Power steering reservoir
2. Brake fluid reservoir
3. Fuel tank
If its an auto transmission, water "could" have got down the auto transmission dipstick tube. I would change the auto transmission fluid if there is any milky clouding in the red oil on your auto transmission dipstick indicator marks. If it a manual gearbox then ignore the above sentence.
I assume the Pajero has been completely dried out, especially the wiring area under the dashboard. I am unsure if your dashboard console (ie the speedometer and guage section) is waterproof.
Regards,Steve
