This is not a reset issue, the unit must be removed from the car and sent in for repair to an authorized MB electronics repair center, there are no parts sold to the public, Contact your local dealer for the name of the closest repair center
Radio should have shut off automatically after 30 mins. have you an
owner's manual? there is a 'mute' button on the radio. the 05 slk did
not have a radio code to reenable it after battery replacement. my old
05 had some 'comand' quirks like could not find sat radio sometimes.
when u get a new battery, it might magically work.
Good luck.
have you a owner's guide? you need to go to the settings section: mercedes/slk/docs/#dtb
Hope this helps.

COMAND was previously stuck in radio mode, with only volume controls working. Some key combo seemed to reset, but then reverted back. Disconnected and reconnected battery and now stuck in cd mode. Unable to use any keys, e.g., menus, Nav, tel, eject - nothing works. Is there a menu key combo that will reset the entire system?
The COMAND system is completely locked into cd mode. Apart from the volume controls and steering wheel track selection nothing works. Unable to access any menus, therefor can not reset system or anything else. The owners manaul does not address this condition.
