I have no real problems with my 2005 Chevy Malibu. 6 cyl.... yet. I just want to know how many hoses does it have? Also, is it possible to get me a guessamate of how much it could possibly cost to have them all replaced.(Live in Balt.-Was. D.C. area Columbia, Md.) Also, does the car have a timing belt or timing chain? [email protected]

My 2004 chevy malibu classic 4 cyl wont start its

There are four things required for an engine to run: air, fuel, compression and properly timed spark. If you have fuel and timed spark, the only two variables are air and compression. Air is not the likely problem, and compression should be good unless you blew a head gasket or the rings in all four cylinders. How did you determine that you have fuel and spark? Those are the two most likely problem areas.

My 2005 malibu console panel is reading "low coolant" do you have any idea if its air conditioning coolant or ???

It is probably your engine coolant. Check your coolant level in the resevoir. If it is low it has to be going somewhere, meaning you have a leak. Take a quick look under the car and in the engine compartment to see if you see or smell any coolant. If not, open the pressure caps on the radiator and check under the cap, MAKE SURE THE ENGINE IS COOL AND SYSTEM HAS NO PRESSURE BEFORE OPENING THIS CAP. If it has a brown slime inside it is possible you have a leaking intake gasket. I have had a Chevy V-6 that had this problem and have heard of others that have had this same problem. I hope it is something simple like a loose hose clamp.

Good Luck.

Is there a dipstick to check transmission fluid on a 2005 chevy malibu? or how do you check it without one? Thanks

no dipstick on your v-6 engine, there is a plug at the top of the housing-----you can see it at the driver side of the engine down below the large air intake hose
