Flat battery after 31 mins when either closing the doors or locking the car , the 4 door interior side lights come on and stay on if the car is not driven within a 24 hr peiod then a flat battery does anyone know what would activate the 4 interior door lights after shutting the doors ( 30 plus mins later ) no other items are on in the car no alarm turned on ( factory one fitted though ) the car is two years old now with 70,000 klms on it and today we had the battery replaced but same problem is there dooor lights comming on after a fixed period of time (excuding the main interior light which stays off ) help need WASA

same thing happened to me. also interior light stayed on and power locks wouldnt work. It was our door latch assembly in drivers side door. part is $110 - $250 depending on where u get it
The 20 min time out is the GEM or Body Module, which is normal only because you have a bad switch, otherwise it goes to sleep when either front door opens
Put radio on & open a door,the radio should go off & kill the time delay if no issues exist
unhook your battery for 5 mins then hook it back up go to each door and open and close one at a time that way you know which door is having the problem once you find that out replace the door switch and problem fixed or just dont open that door.
You should have a switch that controls your dash lights so you can make the lights brighter at night. See if that switch is tuened all the way up. Turn it the opposite direction and see if your lights go out. Hope this helps Leave comment.
Try spraying WD-40 into the door latching mechanism (door side). I learned this fix after two battery replacements, but have only had to spray twice in the more than seven years of ownership
