In 1989, all vehicles sold in the US were required to have vacuum routing stickers placed in the engine compartment. There should be a vacuum diagram sticker on the fan shroud. If it has peeled off, you'll need to find a shop manual and figure out which of the many possible diagrams apply (not an easy task).
I couldn't find a diagram of those vacuum connections. If only one line is disconnected then look for an open hose nipple on the AC control assembly and that should be where it goes. Those vac lines supply actuators which move diverters in the duct system that activate the different climate control system modes.
its just above the pedal, there should be a little lever that you can manually take the brake off in case the vauum can is bad or disconnected. the vac can is attached to that linkage.
The heater-core hoses are usually paired together behind the engine, and they go through the firewall. Two rubber covers usually hold them tightly to the firewall. They are not that dificult to identify.
If your heater still works, they get quite hot, and you could feel them to further identify.
if you are lucky there will be a sticker on the hood when you open it.... look up.... it will have at least some of the routing of the vacuum hoses. if not your next best bet is to go to the public library and look thru a manual.... search their database for chilton or haynes
