I know on older car if you take carb cleaner and spray around vaccum lines and if there is a leave the idle will go up. Will that also work on this problem ?

When you open the hood of the the car have a buddy accelerate in park and listen for a vacuum leak this is the likely cause it sounds lik your loosing boos pressure. Also, get a tune up there maybe a list of problems. Hopefully it's not your transmission!

Car dies at stop

Most likely an intermittent MAF (mass air flow) sensor, or possibly a bad turbo (wastegate) pod.

All the above problems were happening to my truck, and the engine light never did come on. Finally changed the O2 sensor, and it runs like new again.

2006 Jetta TDI, TURBO Problems

the turbo is a variable vane type where the vanes in the exhaust shell around the turbine are moved to give maximum gas flow at low engine rpm
these vanes rust in the housing and do not move easily when the actuator is energized by the vacuum solenoid
the vacuum hose goes hard and cracks , actuators suffer from wiring problems
basically check that the rad that controls the vanes is free moving and that the hoses and wires are in good condition

the turbo has no effect on blower motor performance. you may have a bad turbo but you may also have a bad blower motor or a low freon level on the a/c system.

Struggling to Accelerate immediately after starting engine

Most likely there is a hole in the air tube. Open the hood and check the rubber tube on top of the engine. If there is a rip, just cover it with some heavy duty tape and it will help on a tempory basis.

Push the accelerator, nothing happens or falls on face and dies

you might have a vacuum leak just get a can of carb cleaner the spray kind not the foam stuff and spray it around your carb and vacuum lines and see if anything changes.l
