CKP sensor removing and installing is very simple: disconnect the wires plug from the sensor socket, then remove the sensor. Install new CKP sensor in reverse order.

The start of production of the Audi A4 B5 is 1994. With minor changes, it was produced until 2001. At first, only the sedan version was available, the station wagon (Avant) appeared a year later. 2004 Audi A4 Cabrio - the PRNDS flashes intermittently - sometimes staying on - then stops. Thank you, Scott.

IIf the vehicle is front wheel drive and now Quattro than then the transmission range sensor is located inside the transmission and is part of the mechatronics unit (valve body). If the vehicle isn't Quattro then the transmission range sensor is bolted to the drivers side of the transmission where the cable connectors to the shift lever. When these range sensors go bad that will cause the flashing or solid PRND light on the cluster.

Where is the engine coolant temperature switch located

Look in area around the top radiator hose on the head/block and the sensor will be square in shape , probably red in colour and have a connection with 2 wires in it.. failing that see the service dealer or a shop that specialises in repairs your vehicle..

On a 1996 Audi A6 Quattro 2.8, where would you find the thermostate?

Locate the upper radiator hose and follow it to the engine. It should connect at the water jacket, which houses the thermostat. (Usually) That's the best advice I can offer!
