2001 mitsubishi galant, cruise is working properly but on dashboard no sign of cruise?? Is this an easy fix like changing of fuse or is it major problem ?? Again cruise working have no problem just light is not on.

Does cruise light come on when you start the car, during the lamp check stage (during first seconds of starting) If it doesn't then the indicator lamp is probably out.

The first thing I would check is wiring that connects to the bulb. At the back side of the wiring harness's connector, look for melting and burn marks. This is common condition is easy to remedy. Based on the bulb's part number, you can get a new connector ("pigtail") at any auto parts store. It will have a few inches of wire installed on it. When installing the new part , cut one wire at a time and connect to the new respective wire, before connecting the next new wire. This process will prevent mixing up the wires' positions. If there is no signs of wiring and/or harness-connector damage, checking fuses may help discover your problem. Your owners manual will tell you if the correct fuse is in the cabin or in the engine bay.
I'm surprised anything is working on an '88 galant. Check your fuses. If all fuses look good, then you have a bad power wire to your dashboard. Electrical insulation cracking and broken / loose plastic wire connectors (plugs) are a common but difficult to find problem apwhen cars get over 15 or 20 years.
If you tinkered under the hood you may have un-plugged a vacuum hose that makes the cruse control work ,look under the hood for un-plugged tiny vacuum hoses,I have had this happen to me
Yes, There is a fuse box ... your owners manual will asssit you in locating it and the suspect fuse ... do your parking lamps work? Is your dimmer turned all the way down?
