WHEN BLEEDING THE BRAKES, YOU MUST HAVE A FULL RESEVOIR WITH CAP ON. START WITH PASS. REAR, PUMP BRAKE PEDLE ALL THE WAY DOWN ABOUT 3 TIMES AND HOLD DOWN. OPEN BLEEDER SCREW TILL NOTHING COMES OUT, THEN CLOSE. REPEAT UNTIL THERE IS NO AIR COMING OUT. IT IS IMPORTANT TO BUILD UP PRESSURE WITH ATLEAST 3 PUMPS IN ORDER FOR THIS TO WORK. REPEAT ON DRIVER REAR, THE PASS. FRONT, THEN DRIVER FRONT. HOPE THIS HELPS.

Can you bleed the brakes system from the top of the brake line

Can you bleed the brakes system from the top of the brake line Rick, No! I will post links to proper bleeding procedures, if you can not do it this way, take it in to a qualified shop. Some vehicles need to use a scan tool during the bleeding process to cycle the pump and valves.

2007 ford sport trac 4.0 2wd just put brakes all the way around bleed brakes brake lines not leaking still brake pedel goes almost to the floor to stop disk front and back done everything right

obviously not or you would have brakes

there is still air in the lines and that can be from a master cylinder that has an air lock and is not allowing fluid to pump

Take it to an accredited brake specialist for diagnosis and brake bleed

when bleeding the brakes , it is a 2 person operation and each line ( starting at the longest line is operated until only solid fluid comes out when the bleed screw is operated

I had to replace brake lines from the master cylinder to the abs module. I'm having trouble bleeding the system now. What do I need to do?

the brake system has to bled using the normal bleeding procedure starting at the longest line
the brakes work through the abs al the time and the abs is only a pump to maintain pressure if a wheel stops turning instead of having to pump the brakes when the stopped wheel brake fluid is returned to the reservoir.

Bleeding the brakes ,But no fluide in the rear brakes

Check the master cylinder, pump up the brakes and crack the line at the master cylinder to the rear brakes, if no pressure and it was ran empty or is new part, bench bleed the master cylinder and recheck for pressure at the master cylinder, if you have pressure follow the brake line to the proportioning valve and crack that line before and after the fitting, good luck.

try bleeding the master cylinder at the lines first as it indicates that there is still air in the pistons
loosen one line at a time and gently apply the brakes until any air bubbles come out tighten the line before releasing the brake pedal
do it for the other line and then bleed all the brakes starting at the longest line first and ending at the shortest line

How do i put in front brake line in a 96 ford bronco

Jack up your vehicle. Take the tire off. Use a brake line wrench on the nut at the caliper holding the brake line on. You will lose brake fluid during this process and bleeding of the brakes is recommended after you do this. Once you get the line off the caliper use the brake line wrench on the top nut which holds the line to the vehicle. The old line comes out now. Reverse this process to put the new line it.

Now you need to bleed your brakes. Top off the brake fluid in your master cylinder. Have a helper sit in the vehicle. Have your helper pump the brake pedal 5 to ten times and slowly crack the bleeder screw on on of the wheels. You will see brake fluid come out and possibly some air. Have the helper hold the brake pedal down while you close the bleeder screw. Repeat this procedure until only brake fluid comes out. Repeat procedure on the other three wheels.

I cant get the brakes to pump up after bleeding them and replacing front lines

sounds like there is still air in system, put a hose from brake bleeder into jar of brake fluid to bleed and repeat for each set of brakes, checking brake fluid resevoir often. this will remove any air and keeps the line from sucking up air. there are one man break bleeding kits sold at auto parts stores but a clear air hose will work.

No fluid come out when bleeding brakes drivers side front

Brake rubber flex line could be collapsed,,or kinked,,,i suggest loosening of the line at the master cylinder distribution block (this will give you the ability of loosening off one line at a time,,and have some one push the brake pedal down,,if you see fluid at this point then you know it has to be the line or the caliper.
if you get no pressure from the distribution block then its the master cylinders fault
