You should be able to go to the dealership with your WIN and proof of ownership and they will unlock it for you. Otherwise there are websites that, for a fee, will send you the unlock code. www.radio-code.com is one but there are others. Just GOOGLE...
When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your car radio. The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your Hyundai service centre and get them to enter this code for you.
Does anyone have any tips for obtaining the radio security code in an Astra without having to fork out the $25 - $33 being quoted by all the Holden dealers i've contacted?,
First of all, the pin code for the radio is designed to keep someone from stealing your radio and using it in another car. To publish this code online would defeat the purpose.
Secondly, there are about 150,000 different possible pin codes to unlock your particular radio. The only way to get the radio unlocked if you don't know the code is to take the vehicle to a Mitsubishi dealer, where they can look the code up by the VIN on your car. Take your photo ID and proof of registration with you. The dealer will not unlock the radio for anyone except the registered owner of the vehicle. (At least they're not supposed to.)
if its for radio sometimes dealer will ask for some model no# on your radio and he can give you code to unlock it..sometimes they charge either sometimes you cant win
They are all random codes that are stored in the radio. The radio can lock it's self with possible 10.000 differant codes. You will need to take it to the dealer to have them use the gm scaner to retreive the code that is in the radio then they call the gm headquarters and those egg heads give an unlock code for the car. All of the make since?
