1986 nissan d21 with z24 electro-ignition, turns over, cranks easily sometimes will even start however it does not run for long. Changed fuel filter yesterday and didn't help, ignition rotor and distributer cap done 4 months ago.Relay and fuel pump?? How do you actually check the relay(found that) and where is the fuel pump?? In tank or on top?? Looked but didn't find it in line unless I missed it.

It is 37 years old. When were the big end bearing replaced last?

will if you had shopped for the part the seller shows all cars it fits.
so why not learn to at least shop and learn that, for free

gee and fit is not the ONLY factor, the pressure it regulates must be in PSI spec, or injections will be wrong for sure. out of spec.

check fuses inside truck . If any dought change it cause sometimes they are hard to tell. I have a 1986 nissan hardbody 4x4 myself.Buy yourself a haines manuel cause the fuel system is pretty weird . good luck i stop by and check out the nissan questions everyday,almost.

Try running a good fuel system cleaner through it. Sitting alot allows condensation to form in fuel tank. Also condensation forms on plugs, etc... Pill plugs and inspect, but do run system cleaner regularly.

How did this start happening? Have you changed anything recently. Commonly it too rich in petrol or timing is too advanced.

Have you checked for spark or tried shooting carb cleaner in the intake to see if it will fire?
