Reset coolant level light in a chevy impala 2002 and reset the airbag light too,,, please

    Coolant light should reset by itself when you fill the coolant. Why is the airbag light on?

COOLANT LEVEL ON MESSAGE CENTER COMES ON, WHEN CAR REACHES CERTAIN TEMP. GOES AWAY. SERVICE ENGINE SOON ON MESSAGE CENTER REMAINS ON

    Lorena, the airbag light means that something is wrong with the airbag system, and the airbag will not deploy in a collision. It is possible that it was deployed in a minor crash and not repaired properly. It could also be a bad sensor or just something unplugged. You really should get this checked and repaired. You *are* using your seat belt, aren't you?

It will reset when the level is corrected. If the level is correct then the sensor is bad or unplugged. Sensor is located in the overflow tank.

My low coolant light stays on on my 02 impala but the coolant is full how do I reset it?
The coolant level sensor is located on the passenger side of the radiator, just below the bottom of the battery. If the light comes on, you'll need to fill the plastic coolant tank. But you also need to remove the radiator cap and fill the radiator itself. Only open the radiator when the engine is cold. If the radiator is full, and you are positive it's full, then the sensor needs to be replaced.

Why does my 2002 chevy impala not start when the airbag light is on?
The airbag light has absolutely noting to do with the engine starting unless it is because the airbag module is losing power at the same time that some engine component is losing power due to a defective ignition, battery, or ground circuit.

The best thing to do is to scan your computer network for possible fault codes that may lead you to the cause. Please note that I said "computer network", NOT engine control module. Most generic OBD code readers (like those used at many parts stores as a sales tool to sell you a bunch of stuff you don't need) cannot access anything but the continuous memory in the engine control module....you need to scan ALL modules.

Sounds like air in your heater core. That's the only place fluid comes into passenger compartment. To eliminate, make sure coolant level is filled completely or have cooling system flushed.

you can do it using the radio if you still have the orginal radio but if your like me and you dont your gonna have to live with it and buy the way impalas are bad for coolant leaks where the hose connects to the overflow tank.
