I get nothing from the radio. No display, no sound, If you push the RCL button the time displays for about 10 seconds and goes back off. The CD player will eject a CD and accept it but that's it. Any ideas? Where can I get a "economical replacement"

It will attempt to read the time from the data stream and set the clock for you. Otherwise it will say something like 'No RDS time set'. you need to tune a station with RDS - it won't scan them for you.

go buy a new radio. You can usually get free installation. If you are a do it yourselfer. Then go to crutchfields web site. They are great, they give you the adaptor plates and wire harness to go from what ever radio you get to the car, with no splicing (cutting and reconnecting of wires) They will tell you what radios will not work and tell you what ones will.

Sorry to say it but you have power to the radio, and there are really 3 things a radio needs to work. power, speakers, and a signal. you can check the antena to make sure its not broken or disconnected. but most of the times its the radio
